My JPEG images in my Word Document are not converting when it once did convert.

The TotalHtmlConverterX utility ignores the "author" meta tag in an HTML file and instead inserts "Softplicity" as the document author. If I add the "-author" switch to the command line, it still shows "Softplicity" as the Author in the PDF document and instead applies the name to "PDF Producer." If I use the "-creator" switch in the command line, it instead applies the name to "Application."

Every document produced shows "Softplicity" as the Author in the PDF document. This is a very serious problem. The command lines I have tried are:

HTMLConverterX "C:\folder\myfile.htm" "C:\folder\myfile.pdf" [does not work]
HTMLConverterX "C:\folder\myfile.htm" "C:\folder\myfile.pdf" -author "My Name" [does not work]
HTMLConverterX "C:\folder\myfile.htm" "C:\folder\myfile.pdf" -creator "My Name" [does not work]

Please advise precisely how to correctly install the Author name in the PDF file properties dialogue, showing an example of correct command line syntax.

Hi,

I have problems with Total Folder Monitor 1.1.18 on a Windows Server 2011 Essentials 64bit on VSphere Server 5.1.

- Once the tool creates a temporary file in \Users\xxx\AppData\Local\Temp\ an the tool crashes you cant run the project again after restart. It says "file access denied". Workaround: Delete file in temp manualy and run project again.

- Create a new action wizard often do nothing when finish button is pressed. Workaround: Restart Tool. Cant reproduce.

- Start/Stop OnLooker Service sometimes crashes with message "No handler", cant reproduce.

- Modify action "execute application". The "run if...file extension operator is always "=" (equal) when the modify wizard starts.

- Please fix following: Create service on a 64bit machine.

Hello:

I am considering purchasing your Total Image Slicer software, so that I can merge about 2000 scanned photographs. These photos were double-scanned, because details about each photo were hand-written on the back. Instead of managing these as separate files, I would like to combine them side-by-side. The demo software (GUI) works fine for my purposes when I try to merge a pair of photo images, but now I want to do this as a batch operation.

I see there is a -List option, but I have not been able to figure out how to use it, or if it is useful for my purpose. I have a spreadsheet with the paired files identified, and could either call imageslicer.exe many times with the actual filename parameters needed, or could build an export of all the filenames in pretty much any format (csv, tab delimited, one name after another, etc.).

If I can get this to work properly, I will likely purchase the software immediately.

Hi,

I noticed that your Total PDF Converter package (http://www.coolutils.com/TotalPDFConverter) seems to indicate that you offer PDF to PPT support, however I couldn't see this in the program ? Do you offer this in this or another program ?

We have a need for a PDF to PPT solution and hoped that you maybe able to provide it.

Hi ,
I am facing the problems while converting the .eml file to pdf containing Thai charactes.
Its working fine with the .msg files to pdf.
Presently i am using the MailConverterX.exe version 2.1.0.116.
Can you please help me if you have any other options to proceed with..

I create an simple word document with 1 hyperlink. I used "test docconverterx" to translate it. The hyperlink is not present on the htm translated document.

Any ideas?

Hi,

this is my experience about the error "Converter error -1"

I solved the problem in this way:

1) Control panel -> Administrative tools -> Component services -> DCOM Config
2) Right click on CWordConvClass
3) Select security tab
4) Set Customize for all and add everyone user
5) Select identity tab
6) Run it with user admin account

I have spent some times to solve it. So I hope to help someone

Note: I run c.convert funtion on my application with impersonate (admin user) function too, to avoid active object create error message.

Good morning!

I'm using Total Excel converter to convert an XLSX to TXT. The Excel file has one column with a date value (3/29/2013) and numeric values in the remaining rows. When I attempt to convert this to text, I get an "Integer Overflow" error. If I remove the date value from row 1, the conversion is successful.

Any ideas on how I can remove this error. (Without removing the date value manually? This is a batch process...)

As I am a green user of your Total Audio Converter software, I hope you can give detailed working steps of the splitting of those files from each large file before I can start to convert them into mp3. I got Total PDF Converter a few months ago, and it was a godsend for making WMFs from PDF images. Now I need to do the same thing again, but I can't get it to work. The feedback from the program looks like it's working, and it creates a file, but the file contains only a faint gray rectangle. Can anyone suggest what I might be doing wrong? Thanks for help!

We are planning to buy the site license {Commercial use for all employees of one company(both GUI and command line)} for total doc converter however, would like to test it on our server before making the purchase.

Is there a trial version of the site license available to test the functionality of this license? Or is there a section on your website where I can see how this site license would work?

A couple of doubts:
1. Do we have to install the site license on our server to allow all the employees to use it
2. What is the process/document of installing the site license
3. Will it work the same way as the commercial license for 1 person works?
4. Will multiple users be able to access the software at the same time in case of a site license?
5. Will the software be installed on every user’s machine if we procure the site license?
6. Is there a section on your website where I can see the limitations and features of the site license of total doc converter?

Please revert as soon as soon as possible since we are planning to buy it soon.

I am using TotalHTMLConverterX2 and I want to change the format of converted file.

So far the TIFF generated do not have pages... It's "fit one page" file.

Your previous versions of the Converter generated files with paging ... Please let me know if I should use some flag to change format...

When you convert a web page with the parameters -Siteuser and -SitePass error occurs object is not found SitePassword property or property does not exists.

Is there a minimize command line parameter? I was not about to find it in the help, website or forums. If it doesn't exist, is it too much to ask to put that in?

BTW, great tool, we're using it to automatically convert wav files into mp3 as they hit our archive server.

Installed ImageConverterX. It installed : C:\Program Files\TotalImageConverterX\Sample\C#\WinForms
but the ImageConverterXExample.csproj does not exist so there is no C# sample code. Do you test your installs?

Hi,

I am try to convert jpeg image to tiff black and white 300dpi from command line by using this command

C:\Program Files\TotalImageConverter>ImageConverter.exe D:\test\Jellyfish.jpg D:
\test\bwtiff.tiff -ctif -tcjpg -tprgb -jcsgray -dpi300

but it is not converting to black and white it remain in the same color only file get generated with name "bwtiff.tiff"

same result for when i try to convert to tiff cmyk by using this command

C:\Program Files\TotalImageConverter>ImageConverter.exe D:\test\Jellyfish.jpg D:
\test\cmyktiff.tiff -ctiff -tcjpg -tpcmyk -jcscmyk -dpi300

Is i am missing something?

But it convert the image to desirable result when i do it from wizard given in GUI.

We bought Totalhtmlconverterx component to be installed on a Windows Server 2000. All tests worked correctly less to run in the Classic ASP.We tried all forms, in the command line works but not in the ASP. The log is generated, but without information how to work fine. The lincence name is Adalci Roza de Faria Filho. Thanks for all help.

I use SeaMonkey for e-mail, and not Thunderbird. I have YEARS (Gigabytes) of e-mails I need to convert into separate DOC files for archival purposes.

The program appears to promise to do this.
But I need to BE SURE that, along with the e-mail text, the program will also include the SUBJECT LINE, as well as the FROM:, DATE:, and TO: lines.

Without this information it will be difficult to use the e-mails for historical archives.

1) Will Thunderbird Converter do this? and in a way that the information can all be viewed on the same page?

2) How does Thunderbird Converter name the resulting DOC file?

Hi,

I tried to convert excels to html files, each sheet of an excel would be converted to a html file named with sheet name. If the sheet name included special characters like quotes, the converter got error and pop-up window showed up.

I'm wondering if the special characters can be omitted or replaced by blank space so that the sheet can be converted and saved to disk successfully. I know I can specify the html name but I need to keep the sheet names somehow.

I'm evaluating the total audio converter demo version on the windows 2003 server.
But, I'm getting an error message below when I tried to convert an wav file to mp3.
'Can't find a free sound driver'.
Does it require a sound card device?
