- Insert a blank disk or erase a used one (you can also erase the disk right before the burning).
- Select or press the button in the toolbar.
- If you are creating a photo CD the explorer window will display thumbnails of the files of the following formats: Bmp, Pcx, Jpeg, Tiff, Png, Tga, Pbm,Pgm, Ppm è Gif. It is very convenient as all the rest files don't interfere with your work.
Select the files you want to write to the disk in explorer window: 
- Drag the selected files to CD window:

or use the buttons , from the toolbar: 
- You can view the image full sized by pressing the button .
- CDuke automatically creates Album1 on the disk. The picture of the album will be the first photo. If you want to change the picture of the album please click the photo and select :

- You can create one more album for your photos with the help of the button .
- Use the info panel to be sure that the size of the selected photos doesn't exceed the size of the disk:

If it does use the buttons of removing files or folders.
- Press the button or select from the menu.
- Set the speed and other options:

- CD Label - set the label of the disk
- Write speed - set the speed
- Write ! - begin writing
- Cancel - cancel the process
- Advanced - advanced settings
- Select CD-R drive - select CD-R derive
- Format CD - format the disk before writing
- Import last session - add the current session to the written ones or write the last session only
- Finalize CD - finalize the disk after writing. You will not be able to write anything on the disk any more!
- Press . Cduke will inform you about the size of the written data and the time left:

- When the process is over CD-Rom opens.
Note:
CDuke adds a utility PhotoViewer.exe to the disk while burning. Using it you can view the photos on any pc.

Toolbar
- Full screen - full screen mode
- Fit image into window - fit image into the window even if it's bigger
- Zoom image - scale of magnification
- Rotate left - rotate to the left at 90%
- Rotate right - rotate to the right at 90%
- Slide show - view in slide show mode (set the time in seconds)
- Set Wallpaper - set the current image as wallpaper
