Advanced mode
To rename a group of files or folders in the advanced mode select bookmark. Advanced mode gives you more powerful and various means of renaming.
Templates
Here you can add date, time, number or change the number of chars in the file's name or extension.

- [N] - Name
- [N#-#] - The number of chars in the name. If you want a certain number of chars to be left in the name use Range option. For example you want all the names contain only 3 first chars select [N1-3]. The same can be done woth extension.
- [E] - Extension
- [E#-#] - The number of chars in the extension.
- [C] - Ranger. Select the first number (Start at) and the number of digits (Digits)
- [YMD] - Date
- [hms] - Time
- [P] - Parent folder
- [F] - The first letter will be capital
- [n] - Delete the register changes
- [L] - Lowercase letters
- [U] - Uppercase letters
Use [F],[n],[L],[U] before [N]. Example: [U][N] - convert to uppercase letters all the letters of the file's name.
Regular expressions
In Advanced mode you can use regular expressions.

In Search field set the options of the search using regular expressions. In the field Replace write the text you want the found expressions to be replaced with.

The results will be immediately displayed in Preview window (New file name). To apply the settings select or press the button . Undo renaming by in the main toolbar or press the button
