Does your iPod give you real freedom?

They say 1000 songs in your pocket. They say iPod gives you the chance to listen to your favourite music anywhere. But they do not allow you to listen to ANY music. Normally iPod is limited to just few formats. What shall you do with your old OGG collection? Or WMA? Or MP4, MPP and others? Sure you may go to iTunes and pay for the songs that you already have in another format. And feel rich and happy. But I prefer not to waste my money like that.
