Convert GDF To PNG
Total GIS Converter was developed to convert GIS files into graphics, providing users ability to display GIS data in more accessible form. If you work with GDF files and want to make them available for viewing online or something else, one of the solutions for you is to convert GDF to PNG images, more lightweight file type supported by the vast majority of viewers and graphic editors.
Converting GDF files using Total GIS Converter is easy even for inexperienced user. The program interface is built so that it guides user through all steps of conversion process step-by-step. First you need to define which source files will be used for conversion. There are a few ways to do this:
- One source file: if you need to convert one GDF file, you need to find it in your PC memory using the in-built navigation panel and check it off in the file list. Just click on necessary folder in the left-side folder list, and then move to the right part where its content will be displayed. Here check off required GDF source.
- A few source files: GDF PNG converter supports batch conversion, i.e. converting many files in one cycle. To specify a few GDF source files, do the same as in previous case, but select all of required sources at a time.
- A folder of source files: you can also check the whole folder of source files for conversion. It is done in the same way as checking a source file.
The next step is clicking on ‘PNG’ button in the format bar and making conversion settings. After you press ‘PNG’ icon, you will see a wizard appeared offering you to make a few settings. You can do them manually or use default variant, depending on your needs.
If you do not like to work with programs through the user interface, try to convert GDF files from the command line. All necessary parameters are described in ‘Help’ menu.
You can try this right now if you buy a licensed version or download a free trial version.
