split pdf command lineSplitting PDF documents to pages in a silent mode is available in PDF SplitterX. This is a server version of desktop PDF Splitter that offers the same features via graphic user interface. Installed on a web server (local or remote) it can work for many users at once, executing splitting requests in turn.

In PDF SplitterX you will find no user interface, as it is a script without any graphic shell. However, using ActiveX technology, you can build this script into a custom GUI, to make it work in your own programs or web services. Silent split PDF command line mode features all options available in desktop version:

Getting every page of source PDF in separate file

Extracting specific pages from the source document (preset page numbers)

Get original file split by bookmarks

Split PDF sources by blank pages

Making a PDF document for every 2,3 or other number of source pages

The conversion command contains the same parameters: source files location, location for future split parts, split method and optional parameters. Optional parameters include setting file name template, deleting originals after splitting, etc. In order to split PDF via command line you will need to send this command to a server script. File processing is performed in a silent mode, and at the end of the process you are given with split documents in PDF format.

PDF SplitterX can become a part of your own applications where PDF splitting option is required. ActiveX technology supported by the program helps to adapt the initial script for various purposes. This server PDF splitter is perfect for both personal and corporate use, one license covers multiple users.

If you wish to see it in action, download PDF SplitterX in a trial version. It also works in a fully automatic way, if to use it together with Total Folder Monitor. It was never so flexible to process PDF files!

  1. Hi. I’m willing to pay for this software if you can tell me how to do this like I need it. I need every split page to have a prefix of “p,” then the page number. So, for this file:

    irsf8689.pdf

    I need:

    irsf8689p1.pdf
    irsf8689p2.pdf
    irsf8689p3.pdf and
    irsf8689p4.pdf

    Thanks!
