Convert HEIC to JPG — Batch HEIC to JPEG Converter

Your iPhone saves photos as HEIC, and half the apps and websites you use will not open them. Total Image Converter converts HEIC to JPG in batch — point it at a folder of iPhone photos, and every file comes out as a universal JPEG that opens anywhere, with the EXIF date and camera data preserved. It runs on your PC, so nothing is uploaded. Unlike opening images one at a time, our converter:
  • Converts a whole folder of HEIC files to JPG in one run
  • Keeps EXIF metadata — date taken, camera model, GPS
  • Resizes, crops, or rotates the photos while converting
  • Sets JPEG quality so you control file size vs sharpness
  • Handles HEIC, HEIF, and Live Photo stills from any iPhone
  • Works 100% offline — no upload, no file-size limit
  • Includes a 30-day free trial with no limitations

Download Total Image Converter and turn your iPhone HEIC photos into JPEG today.

Quick answer: To convert HEIC to JPG, install Total Image Converter, browse to the folder with your HEIC photos, check the ones you need, click the JPEG button, set the quality and any resize option, then press Start. Every HEIC becomes a standard JPG in one offline batch, with EXIF data kept and no file-size limit.

HEIC vs JPG: What Is the Difference?

HEIC (High Efficiency Image Container) is the format Apple uses for iPhone and iPad photos since iOS 11. It stores images at roughly half the file size of JPEG at the same quality, which saves space on your phone. The trouble starts when you move the photos off the phone: Windows, older software, many web forms, and most email recipients cannot display HEIC without extra codecs.

JPG (JPEG) is the universal photo format. Every browser, operating system, photo editor, and printing service opens it without any plugin. It has been the default for digital photos for decades. Converting HEIC to JPG trades a little disk space for the certainty that the image will open, upload, print, and share anywhere.

When you convert HEIC to JPG with Total Image Converter, the picture quality is preserved and the EXIF block — date, camera, and location — travels with the new JPEG, so your photo library stays organized.

How to Convert HEIC to JPG

  • Step 1. Launch Total Image Converter. The left panel shows a folder tree for quick navigation.
  • Step 2. Browse to the folder that holds your HEIC photos. Thumbnails and file details appear in the center.
  • Step 3. Check the images you want, or click Check All to select the whole folder for batch conversion.
  • Step 4. Click JPEG in the format toolbar at the top of the window.
  • Step 5. In the wizard, set the JPEG quality, optional resize or crop, and choose a destination folder.
  • Step 6. Press Start. Total Image Converter writes a JPG for every HEIC and saves it to your folder.

Total Image Converter - HEIC to JPG batch conversion interface

Each HEIC file becomes a separate JPG. The original photos are never modified. You can convert hundreds of iPhone photos in a single pass.

Command-Line Conversion

Total Image Converter includes a command-line interface for converting HEIC without the GUI. Example:

ImageConverter.exe C:\Photos\*.heic C:\Output\ -c JPEG -Quality 90

Wrap this command in a .bat file or a scheduled task to convert HEIC photos automatically — for example, processing every batch dropped into a shared folder overnight.

Why Use Total Image Converter?

Green PlusTrue batch conversion. Select an entire camera roll and convert every HEIC to JPG in one run. No dragging files one by one, no per-file upload waits.

When Do You Need HEIC to JPG Conversion?

Here are the most common situations where converting HEIC to JPG is necessary:
  1. Sharing iPhone photos with Windows users. Windows shows HEIC files as blank or asks for a codec. Converting to JPG lets anyone open them instantly.
  2. Uploading to websites and forms. Job portals, government sites, and many web forms reject HEIC. JPG is accepted everywhere.
  3. Editing in older software. Photoshop versions and other editors that predate HEIC cannot open it. JPG works in every image editor.
  4. Printing. Photo labs and office printers often do not recognize HEIC. Convert to JPG first for reliable prints.
  5. Archiving a photo library. Storing years of photos as JPG guarantees they will still open on any device long after HEIC support changes.
