How many PNG files are produced from a multi-slide PPT presentation?

One PNG per slide. A presentation with 20 slides produces 20 PNG files, numbered sequentially (slide1.png, slide2.png, etc.) and packaged in a ZIP archive for download. A single-slide presentation downloads as a single PNG file directly.

What resolution (DPI) are the output PNG images?

The online converter renders slides at standard screen resolution (96 DPI), which is suitable for web use, email, and embedding in documents. For print-quality output at 150 or 300 DPI, use Total Doc Converter (desktop) which provides configurable DPI output.

Are animations and transitions preserved in the PNG output?

No. PNG is a static image format. Each slide is rendered as a single still image showing the final state of all animated elements (as they appear in Normal view). Slide transitions and animations are not represented — you get one PNG per slide, not one per animation step.

Does the converter handle PPT files from older PowerPoint versions (PowerPoint 97-2003)?

Yes. The converter reads the PPT binary format (BIFF8/PowerPoint 97-2003) directly without requiring Microsoft PowerPoint. Both legacy .ppt and modern .pptx files are supported.

Are speaker notes included in the PNG output?

No. Speaker notes are not rendered in the PNG output. Only the visible slide content (text boxes, images, shapes, charts) is captured. The PNG represents what appears on screen during presentation — not the notes panel.

Are embedded fonts rendered correctly even if not installed on the conversion server?

The converter uses font substitution for fonts not available server-side. Common fonts (Arial, Calibri, Times New Roman, Helvetica) are available and render correctly. Custom or unusual fonts may be substituted with the nearest available font, which can affect text layout. Embedding fonts in the PPT before conversion improves accuracy.
