| Description | EPS (Encapsulated PostScript) is an extension for files based on the PostScript language and intended for printers/image setters featuring image processors supporting PostScript. There are two types of EPS files: vector graphic files, which are supported by and can be edited in Adobe Illustrator, CorelDraw, etc., and EPS photo files, which can be edited in programs like PhotoShop. For easier viewing, EPS files contain bitmap images, because it would take too complicated vector instructions to draw an image. |

| Description | JPG is the file format for images made by digital cameras and spread throughout the world wide web. Saving in JPG format an image loses its quality, because of the size compression. But at the end you have a much smaller file easy to archive, send, and publish in the web. These are the cases when an image's size matters more than image's quality. Nonetheless, by using professional software you can select the compression degree and so affect the image's quality. |

EPS (Encapsulated PostScript) is the vector graphics format used in professional print production, logo design, and prepress workflows — but it cannot be opened by photo editors, displayed by web browsers, or accepted by most sharing platforms. JPEG is the universal image format, instantly viewable on every device and accepted everywhere. Converting EPS to JPG rasterizes the PostScript vector artwork at any target resolution, producing a standard image file that works in every application. No Illustrator, no Ghostscript installation — upload the EPS and receive a ready-to-use JPEG.
EPS (Encapsulated PostScript) is a vector graphics file format developed by Adobe in 1987, based on the PostScript page description language. It was the industry standard for exchanging vector artwork between applications throughout the 1990s and 2000s, and remains in wide use in legacy print and prepress workflows.

The converter interprets the EPS file's PostScript language instructions using a PostScript rendering engine (equivalent to Ghostscript). The vector paths, fills, strokes, and any embedded raster elements are rasterized at the target output resolution — typically 150 DPI for screen use or 300 DPI for print use. The rendering engine resolves all PostScript drawing commands into a pixel grid, applying color fills, gradients, and transparency. The resulting raster image is then compressed with JPEG's DCT algorithm to produce the output file. EPS files with CMYK color are converted to sRGB for standard JPEG output. Embedded preview thumbnails in the EPS are not used — the converter always renders from the full PostScript program to produce maximum quality.
